Terms of service
NovaLine provides second phone numbers for calls and text messages over the internet. By using the service you agree to use it only for lawful personal and business communication.
Acceptable use. You agree not to use NovaLine for harassment, fraud, spam, impersonation, or any illegal activity, or to send automated bulk messages without proper consent and registration. Accounts that break these rules may be suspended or closed.
Service and limits. Calls and texts to regular phone numbers travel over the normal phone network and are not end-to-end encrypted. "Unlimited" plans are for ordinary use and are subject to a fair-use policy to prevent automated abuse. A second line is not a replacement for your primary phone for emergency (911) calls unless 911 service is specifically enabled on your account.
Billing. Paid plans renew until cancelled. Government and carrier fees (such as the Universal Service Fund) are added as a separate line. [Refund and cancellation terms to be finalized.]
Age. You must be 18 or older to use NovaLine.
Privacy notice
What we collect. Account details you give us (name, email, phone, business), the numbers you're assigned, and records needed to provide and bill for phone service (such as call and message logs required by law). When you use the contact form we receive the details you type.
How we use it. To provide the service, respond to you, prevent abuse, and meet legal and billing obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
About "private notifications." This is a display setting that hides caller names and message previews on your own device's lock screen and alerts. It changes what shows on your screen; it does not make calls or texts anonymous, encrypted, or hidden from your carrier or from law enforcement with lawful process.
Message content. Texts and calls to and from regular phone numbers pass through the phone network and are not end-to-end encrypted. Please don't treat the service as a secure channel for sensitive secrets.
Legal requests. Like any phone provider, we may be required to keep certain records and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.
Retention & your choices. We keep information only as long as needed to run the service and meet legal requirements, then delete it. [Retention periods to be set.] To ask about or delete your information, contact hello@nova-lighters.com.
